Joe and Marge!

We were delighted to be able to head to Mark's hometown to spend some time with Joe and Marge! (Best of friends of Mark's family growing up, then he lived with them for a few years after high to stay in the area after his parents moved, and as we've "grown up" they're not just "our parent's friends" anymore...they're "our" friends, too)! If you were at our wedding, you might remember Joe...we were honored to have him as a groomsman!

At any rate, we stayed a few days with them, and had a great time catching up with them and their family. We got to meet Becca's girls (pictured bottom left of first collage) for the first time, and we were able to spend time with Sarah and her kids, 3 of whom we'd never met before. Somehow, we don't have any pics of our time with Sarah...perhaps it could be that between hers, ours, and my friend Karen's kids who were visiting, we had 11 kids there. Maybe that's why. At any rate, Sarah was great to tell us the adoption stories of her three youngest, and to share some helpful info that we've tucked away! (As of right now, it looks like we'll be using the adoption agency to which she referred us)! We also got to see Amy, Joe and Marge's oldest daughter, and got to meet little Leah, the foster daughter they are hoping to adopt.

They had a new fort/swing set in the backyard, in addition to their two goats and the neighboring horse and cows. In other words, the boys were in seventh heaven! :)

Maybe one of these days we'll get them to come visit us...we keep trying to bribe Joe with a moose hunt, but it hasn't worked yet. We haven't given up hope, though!
