Busy week...
Sorry to catch up on so many posts in one day! It's been a whirlwind week or so here, but I figured I'd best catch up on blogging before Eric, April, and the kids arrive tomorrow! We're looking forward to a grand time with them, with lots to do and see! I'll try to post as we go, but we'll see...
Waffles
Jacob, being the only morning person in this household, woke us up this morning "weddy for befast." He was content to play between us on our bed for a while, but that only bought us so much time. I tried adding some perspective to it for Mark-"You go spend quality time with Jacob in the kitchen, and I'll stay here and spend some quality time with Anna." He didn't buy it! :) But he did get up to make waffles with Jacob! Jacob rarely gets to help in the kitchen by himself (but Andrew definitely not being a morning person was still asleep), so it was a special treat for him (and for Andrew and I when we got to enjoy the fruit of their labor later)!
1st "Picnic!"

A visit with friends!
Last Sunday our friends Simon and Gloria came down from Anch. for a visit with their two boys. They were out in the bush when we were, and moved out to the road system at the same time...right before Andrew and Micah were both due (they're only 6 weeks apart). We've enjoyed keeping up our friendship over the years, and Jacob and Scott get along pretty well, too! Watch for a link to their blog...we got Gloria started blogging while they were here!
Sunday School
Andrew's sleeping
At the head of Andrew's bunkbed is a "cubby space" where he keeps his stuffed animals. There is no cushioning in it...just the plywood that the mattress rests on. Well, this is how I found him when I went to wake him up the other morning. He had cleared all of the animals out and propped himself in there for the night. He insists that it was comfortable!
Puddles!
We had Jonah over to play the other day, and they boys had a blast in a huge, slushy puddle! You simply have to love the invention of waterproof rain pants...they are really getting us through this spring with relatively little laundry pain. Wool socks, puddle boots, and rain pants can set you up for great adventures! Jacob was not happy that I didn't let him in the big slush puddle, but contented himself with the other puddles he had to splash in.
Jacob & Abby
Jacob is quite the "dog" person...he devotes far more time and attention to Abby than the rest of us do! It is the boys' job to feed her everyday, but Jacob also takes responsibility for waking her up every morning :), giving her hugs, offering her toys, and lately seems to think that he needs to be the one to hold her leash on our walks! He does pretty well for long stretches walking her, though the fast pace he needs to keep leads him to offer the leash back to me eventually!

The bears are awake!
Jacob and I saw two grizzlies on the way to my chiropractor appt. yesterday. It's good to know for certain that the bears are out and about! We saw them in Cooper Landing on the other side of the river. It was great for Jacob to be able to see them...he said over and over again "Bear says rrraarr!"
And we see eagles like this all the time going through Cooper Landing, but I rarely have my camera with me. So, figured I'd stop and get a picture of them, too!
Happy Birthday, Rebecca!
Easter gathering
It's always a trip trying to get a good picture of all the cousins together...so while they may not be posed well, at least they all look happy!
My mom has a very real looking doll that she wanted to show Andrew and Jacob, to help prep them for Anna's arrival. Jacob loved the doll, though didn't always hold her quite this nicely! I'll add later a very funny picture of Andrew and the doll that's on Tricia's camera...
More Easter Celebrating
After church, the boys found the eggs they had colored, and then had tons of goodies to open! Grandma & Grandpa Milligan had sent them each a present (the boys were thrilled that there was even one for Baby Anna)! Then, they found and opened the Easter baskets that Dianne had sent them. Dianne, the boys were so excited...thank you so much for all you do for our family! You spoil us way too much! Then we took our family picture before heading off to my parents' house in Soldotna for dinner...pics from that to follow!
