Odd funny

I know this is an odd picture, but it was funny to us!
At the store, Mark had let Andrew get a piece of candy for
each of us for dessert. I couldn't find the candies anywhere,
until Andrew informed me they were in the refrigerator.
That didn't help me either...he had to come show me where
he had stacked all four of them up on top of the bottle of salsa,
nearly hidden behind the light in the fridge!

Jacob skis, too!

Jacob seems to love skiing, too, even keeping a chipper attitude when he falls! And it didn't seem to faze him that he was just falling farther and farther behind...

Skiing Day

On Fridays, several of the moms in Moose Pass try to get the kids together for
an outside activity. This Friday we headed out skiing. It was a blast for the 3 boys,
who love trekking out on ahead of the pack! Next I'll post pics of Jacob joining the
action...

Blizzard Day!

Thursday was yet another all-day and into the night blizzard.
Strangely enough, only downtown Moose Pass (yes, for those of
you who have been here, that's a bit of an anomaly) got the snow...
another 10 inches of it.
So, we spent the day inside and the boys had a blast playing with
their Thomas tracks set the whole day!

Pizza time!

Jacob got in on the pizza-making action this past weekend! Andrew
is old hat at it, but somehow this is the first time Jacob has gotten
to help add the cheese and pepperoni. While Andrew went for more
pepperoni than usual, maybe Jacob's arrangement is indicative of
his love for trains!

Last visit with Rebecca

Andrew was disappointed and confused to learn that Aunt Becca was going back to college.
Initially he had been confused over the fact that she was not going to stay at our house for
the whole Christmas break..."But you said she would be here for Christmas!" I guess "here"
is a little more specific to you when you don't comprehend distances out-of-state. "Here" for us
means the state, "here" for him means our house!
Anyway, I told him that Grandma, Gramps, & Aunt Becca would stop here for dinner on their
way to the airport.
"Why are they going to the airport?"
"Because Aunt Becca has to take
an airplane back to college."
"But she already went to college."
"I know, but she has to go
back again."
At which he got quite indignant,
"She doesn't go to college two days, just one!"

Needless to say, the boys miss her!

Jacob's talking...

For whatever reason, Jacob likes to ask where someone is, even if they're right next to him. He will often ask me "Where's Nandew?" even when Andrew is right there.
Well, I had the boys with me at a chiropractor appt. the other day. I was up on the table to be adjusted, and Jacob was asking Andrew this time,
"Nandew, where's mommy?"
After several times of Andrew not answering him, I finally just answered him,
"Mommy's right here."
Jacob's reply?
"Mommy, I'm talking to Nandew!"

Too much snow!

These pics were taken New Year's Eve/Day...at which
point we had gotten about 5 feet of snow already. We
finally got a break from the snow, but only because the
temps were 20-30 below. It finally warmed back up,
and along came the snow. Best estimates now are at
6 feet, and at this rate we'll have a rough avalanche
season and snow on the ground till June!

New Year's Eve

For New Year's Eve, my sisters Rebecca & Tricia and her
husband Jerry came down for games, snacks and fireworks!
We enjoyed the fireworks show despite sub-zero temps!
A great time was had by all!

Jacob's Christmas

My last try on a few more Christmas pics...
As part of his regular vocab, Jacob talks about Pooh and his 'unnypot. He as a toothbrush w/ Pooh and a honey pot on it, and reads Pooh books over and over again. Finding a 2 yr. old using word "honey pot" hysterical, Rebecca looked far and wide to find him one for Christmas. She succeeded, and Jacob loves playing with his stuffed Pooh, especially first feeding him honey with the honey dipper, and then sticking Pooh headfirst into the pot. "Uh-oh! Pooh 'tuck in the 'unnypot," as Jacob says!

Also, you may have noticed the bandage on Jacob in the family pic I posted from Christmas. Christmas night he fell and got a gash on the back of his head. Though it bled a lot, it did not need stitches, and he bounced back rather quickly. When it was all said and done, Mark and I could only comment that with Jacob's personality, it's a wonder we haven't had more incidents like this one!

More Christmas pics...

This will be a little rough for a while, as I don't want to add
too much text if it's not going to post for me anyway.
But, we'll keep working on it.

Blogger Trouble

My lack of posting lately hasn't been for lack of pictures or news. The blogger program I use is in the process of "upgrading" their features. Thinking that having to switch to the new format was a near inevitability, I switched over. My own fault for not checking it out I guess, but they are actually switching bloggers over gradually, to give them time to work out the bugs.

Well, the "upgrade" to "better features" has left me with so many bugs, I haven't been able to post a thing, and have simply been getting increasingly frustrated, spending hours cruising their help sections trying to make it work!

My apologies for nearly 3 weeks of nothing...believe me, I will post pictures when I can!
(We'll see if I can even get just this text to post...it's the first post I've tried without any photos)!
