For the past few Fridays, I've been hosting some other home-schoolers here to teach a integrated theme unit on apples and pumpkins. Other than having a shortage of boys Andrew's age, it's been a great time!
After I told them the story of the Little Green Worm, using real fruit for props, they created their own paper cut-out props, then practiced telling each other the story.
One of the moms, Kari, was a huge help! As they finished their art project, she helped them make apple turnovers, the eating of which they enjoyed immensely!For the science/art component, they created a book of an apple tree life cycle. They finished products were beautiful!
