You know it's spring when...

CLARIFICATION: My dryer lost its original knob a few years back, and had a replacement that obviously didn't fit, but worked. It would get bumped off occasionally b/c it didn't fit properly. When we moved to our new house back in December, there was already quite a bit of snow. After the dust settled and we were able to move around the boxes, I noticed the knob to the dryer had disappeared. Not to be overly dramatic, I really had no hopes of ever seeing it again. So, I've been using the pliers to turn the knob.



When we came back from our walk the other day, I saw a something shiny and silver poking out of the snow, and lo and behold-my dryer knob!

You know it's spring when you find, unearthed (or is "unsnowed"?) in the driveway, the dryer knob that you lost in the process of moving back in December.

Ah, spring--the wonderful time of year when you no longer have to keep on top of the dryer a pair of needlenose pliers with which to start the machine.
Now if only we could get rid of the 4 feet of snow still covering our yard...
