Music Class

We have been wrapping up our homeschool "co-op" time (swapping kids with my friend Melissa...she watches hers and my little ones on days I teach music, I watch the little ones on days she teaches art). One of the areas I've been working with them on is the names of the different instruments and the families in which they belong. As a closing activity, I made them a color copy of each of the instruments and had them sort them into the correct families. Except for a few saxophones being put into the brass family based on color, they did pretty well! Next (which may be in the fall), we'll make posters of the orchestra sections and have them glue the pieces into the correct area. It's been a fun subject to teach!
