Ninilchik State Fair

Every year, Kenai Peninsula version of the state fair is held in Ninilchik. It's primary emphasis is the 4H program, and the kids all enter their livestock, etc. We've never gone whole-hog (pun intended) with it, but wanted to at least make it down to check it out in case the boys want to enter some of their animals next year.

Andrew is always very proud of his display board (the "goat" one at the top)!

Anna checking out the pigs!

The kids always have a pony ride at the state fair...and for $3 less per kid, I told encouraged them to have their horse ride at this fair instead of at the big state fair!

Had we not gone with Amy and the two older boys, it would have been a little disappointing...but as it was, we at leat really enjoyed the drive down and back!

glad Anna didn't turn her back on those pigs. there is no pain like being pig bit on the butt. I know-the memory is still fresh in my mind 36 years later.....
