Blueberry picking!

Last week, my friend Wendy B. and I decided to head up towards Grant Lake (up the mountain across the street from our house), where the best blueberry patches are. At many points on the way we declared ourselves slightly insane for taking our kids with us (Cody is 3 and Casey is 8 months), due to the nature of the trail. We were each packing a "baby" on our back (Jacob, at 25 lbs, hardly qualifies), and it was steep & muddy, there were fallen trees across the trail that we had to lift baby backpacks up and over or slide under, sections of the trail had become a stream to wade up, and mud-holes blocking the trail pretty frequently! But Andrew and Cody did great, considering the obstacles and it being a 4 mile round-trip hike.
Oh, and they berries were worth it, too. I picked about 3 cups of berries in less than half an hour.
Andrew and Jacob don't collect many...hence
the blue mouth!
