In an effort to carve out time for each of the kids (and me!) to spend some individual time with Mark, we've created Friday Night Daddy Date Night. There are four of us besides Mark, four weeks in a month, so we're on a rotating schedule!
Since Mark and I just had a date last week for our ninth anniversary, we decided to start from youngest to oldest...Anna got the first date! The boys aren't totally clear on the concept (on Saturday morning they asked who got to go on a date with Daddy that night), but they'll get it after a month of going through it.
So, after dinner, Mark and Anna headed out for a walk! (Andrew is loving to take pictures lately, and took this one of them when they got home). It was just as great for me to spend some more focused time with the boys. We played a game and read bedtime stories. All in all, the first date night was a success...Jacob's turn next! :)
